Description
This class will introduce students to throwing on the wheel, breaking down the process into manageable steps. The course covers clay studio basics and is intended as an introduction to the clay process. Students who have some experience but need a refresher are welcome too. The instructor will cover wedging, centering and coning, and will show students how to make basic cylinders which can then be turned into cups, mugs or vases. Students will also learn basic hand building techniques.

In addition to weekly class, students may practice during Open Studio on Mondays 4-9pm, Wednesdays 10am-6pm, and Saturdays 12:30-4:30pm (first come, first serve).
