Description:
 
This hand building workshop introduces members to processes involved in making clay vessels using slab construction methods. Surface treatments will be used to emphasize texture, pattern and design through carving, stamping and painting. The workshop will include a demonstration from Melissa on utilizing found objects to create textures and construction vessels with slabs. Members will then have time to create their own textured slabs and make vessels. Clay will be provided for the workshop.
 
* bring texture tools such as kitchen utensils, found objects and stamps for surface decoration.
