In this workshop participants will learn how to create a variety of bisque stamps and textures that can then be used to decorate pots. Stamps created in the workshop will need to be bisqued before use. Heather will provide already bisqued stamps on the day of so that participants can use them and get a sense of what their own will be like. Bisque stamps are a great decorating tool on their own, but can also create impressions that can then be inlaid with slip. Heather will also demonstrate how to use a slip inlay technique to decorate pots. Participants need to bring leatherhard pots to the workshop–any shape/size/form will work. Since clay is provided for all workshops, members should use their allotment beforehand. Heather or Curtis will make sure to distribute clay to all registered participants.
