Our Story

Local potter Curtis Rindels started Wheelhouse in the fall of 2021 with one goal in mind: to bring people together through clay. Curtis worked at the Boulder Pottery Lab for four years, teaching classes and assisting in the day-to-day operations of the studio. He left after to focus on making and selling his own work, which he has been doing for the last several years. After a year of working from home due to COVID, Curtis missed working alongside likeminded artists and wanted to bring a pottery studio to the Longmont community. With help from his wife Gracie, Curtis opened Wheelhouse and hopes to foster creativity and community by offering classes, memberships and other events. The future is looking bright, as we hope to expand our membership program and offer workshops.
